How Does it Work?

We invite you to first explore our Services page! If you see something you like, fill out the Inquiry form and we’ll get back to you within 7 days. We’ll ask a few questions about who you are and what you’re looking for. Don’t be shy, the more specific you can be, the better!

What happens after I inquire?

We’ll review your inquiry and get back to you within 7 days to schedule a consultation if your request is something we can accommodate. If we feel we can’t help you out this time, we’ll let you know via email so you’re not left wondering.

I don’t live near you. Can I ship you my clothes? How does that work?

We’re more than happy to help our out of town clients. After filling out the Inquiry Form, you can mail us your clothing. We’ll contact you for a consultation, work on your garment, and ship it back to you

How long do alterations take?

We are a small business committed to giving our clients the individualized attention they deserve, and that can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month. 

For small alterations, clothing repairs, and embellishments, you can expect the whole process from inquiry to returned garment to take 2-3 weeks. That includes a consultation, a fitting, time for our maker to work their magic, and then the completed garment is returned to you!

The more complex the service, the longer it will take do it exactly how you want so you leave feeling incredible. So if you’re hoping to take in pants, rework a jacket, or turn a boring dress into the summer fit of your dreams, please allow a few weeks.

How much does this cost, and why?

Simple alterations start at $10, and run as high as $250 for the complex stuff. Why? We’ve all been told to support small businesses over big box retailers, but that often comes with a price tag that is higher than what you might be used to paying. We get it. The reason that the online shopping is so cheap is ethically murky. We are not!

When you schedule a service with Sequined Chaos, you’re directly supporting a local maker’s labor, the cost they paid for their education, and the years they invested in learning their craft. We are passionate about helping everyone feel great in their clothes!

I’m a choreographer and want to get some costumes made. How do I do that?

Hi friends! We’re happy you’re here. We would love to hear about your project, and ask that you reach out at least 3 months before your 1st performance. That allows us the time to connect with you, establish a timeline and budget, and schedule fittings.
